Salt and Pepper Calamari with Murray River Salt

The most delicious Salt and Pepper BBQ Calamari Recipe. I make extra and store it in a jar for when I need it. The secret to this recipe is using Murray River Pink Salt.

Here’s the recipe:-

Salt and Pepper Calamari

Ingredients ~

700-800g Calamari, cleaned and pat dried.

2 tbs Murray River Salt

1 tbs White pepper 

1 tbs Garlic Powder

2 tbs olive oil

2 tbs for basting.

Method - 

  1. Clean calamari hoods and score or slice, then place aside in a bowl.
  2. Combine salt, pepper and garlic powder in a bowl.
  3. Coat calamari with olive oil and dry ingredients. 
  4. Prepare and preheat BBQ for direct cooking on a grill grate.
  5. Cook calamari over heat for 3-4 mins a side or until chargrilled. Brush once with oil halfway through. 

Serve immediately with salad and fresh lemon Wedge.
