Who needs a BBQ restaurant when you can make my tender, juicy beef ribs at home with the new Ninja Woodfire Electric BBQ Grill & Smoker that even air fry’s outdoors! Powered by electricity and flavoured with woodfire technology, I was so impressed with these big juicy ribs that were cooked and smoked in 4 hours. They probed like butter using the integrated Smart Probe and were absolutely delicious with the Basic BBQ Spice Rub from the Recipe Book that comes with the grill.
Serves 3
Ingredients
3 x 300-350g (10-12oz) Beef Ribs
2 tbsp olive oil
½ cup Basic BBQ Spice Rub
Basic BBQ Spice Rub Seasoning ingredients
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup smoked paprika
3 tbsp black pepper
2 tbsp kosher salt
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
You’ll also need a spray bottle with water and All Purpose Blend Woodfire Pellets.
- Place all ingredients for the Basic BBQ Spice Rub Seasoning into a small bowl and mix until well combined. Set aside until needed.
- Pat dry beef ribs and coat with olive oil, followed by a generous amount of seasoning.
- Allow the ribs to reach room temperature.
- Use the pellet scoop to pour pellets into the smoke box until filled to the top.
- Place the beef ribs into the Ninja Woodfire Electric BBQ Grill & Smoker and insert the Smart Probe.
- Turn dial to select SMOKER, set temperature to 120ºC and press start.
- Use bottle to spray water mist over the ribs every hour.
- The ribs are ready when the Smart Probe internal temperature reaches 98ºC (208ºF).
- Wrap the ribs in aluminium foil and rest for 15 to 30 minutes. Then slice and enjoy enjoy!
