BBQ Beef Sliders

BBQ Beef Sliders

My family absolutely love these juicy tasty Beef Sliders cooked using my Ziegler and Brown Triple Grill BBQ (with the hotplate accessory). I love how easy and quick they are to make. I wanted to create a recipe for you that would make all the burger lovers you know drool and this is it!

In this recipe, I replace eggs in the burger patty mixture with whole egg mayonnaise. The result is a moist, juicy and flavoursome beef patty every time!

This week in Australia, there's a lot of exciting events happening even though part of us are still in lockdown. There's the AFL and NRL Grand Finals and the Cox Plate. These are great to make for a crowd (if you're not under restrictions), for your friends and family or even just for yourself!!

Here’s the recipe:-

BBQ BEEF SLIDER RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 500g lean beef mince
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbs garlic powder
  • 1 tbs onion powder
  • 1 tbs whole egg mayonnaise
  • 1 tbs dried parsley
  • 5 slices of Colby cheese (each slice cut into 4)
  • 20 sliced pickles
  • ½ Spanish onion (sliced thinly)
  • Tomato sauce (ketchup) to serve
  • 10 Lettuce leaves (Little Gems or any small lettuce cup leaves)
  • 10 Brioche slider buns

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine beef mince, salt/pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, mayonnaise, and parsley. Divide the mince into 10 patties, 50g each.
  2. Preheat the BBQ and set burner to med/high. Then brush each beef patty lightly with olive oil and grill them for 3-4 minutes a side. Add 1 cheese square to each patty until melted.
  3.  Slice the buns in half. Then on the bottom bun add 1 tsp tomato sauce, lettuce, beef with cheese, onion, 2 pickles and an extra teaspoon of sauce on top. Cover with top bun. They're now ready to devour! Enjoy!!

Cooking Tips

  • Any easy melt cheese can be used.
  • Closing the hood will melt the cheese on the patties faster.
  • Serve the Beef Sliders with hot chips and extra tomato sauce.
  • You can use this burger recipe with large buns too but the quantity will be halved.
  • The beef patty mixture also freezes well.

I would love to see you re-create my Beef Sliders on Instagram or any social media platform. Be sure to tag me Come Grill With Me so I can check them out. Love, Irene XO.
