Chimichurri sauce is easy to make and will always impress your friends and family. It's fresh, bright and packed full of flavour. Within minutes you can make this delicious sauce and pair it perfectly with your next grilled steak. Check out my quick recipe below.
Steak With Chimichurri Sauce Recipe
Serves 4
Ingredients
4 x 200-250 gram steaks at room temperature, seasoned with sea salt and brushed with olive oil
(You can use any cut - Flat Iron, Skirt, Ribeye etc)
1 cup of fresh parsley
1 cup fresh oregano leaves
1 Jalapeño chilli
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 crushed garlic cloves
Juice of 1/2 lime
Salt/pepper to taste
Method
Step one - Preheat your grill, brush steaks with olive oil and cook to your liking. For a medium rare 250gram steak grill for 4 minutes a side.
Step two - Add all remaining ingredients into a food processor until chopped and combined well.
Rest steak for 5 minutes and serve with chimichurri sauce.
Note: This recipe makes about 1.5 cups of chimichurri sauce.
